Anne Marie Blais. In only 2 short years, Anne Marie and her husband Maxime have officially started Quebec’s provincial chapter. Together they have already run 3 successful events (Facebook donations, Spaghetti Dinner and Golf Tournament) raising almost $10 000. Anne Marie is a strong voice on the National Advisory Committee for FPWR Canada and is passionate about helping families in Quebec and eliminating the challenges of PWS. They have a young daughter, Coraly (3 years, pws) and they continue to fight for her health and educational rights. Anne Marie has been working extremely hard to translate materials and information to French in order to sustain our bilingual nation. Her passion and energy are contagious and if you live in Quebec and want to run an event or support the newly formed Quebec Organization, please contact Anne Marie and visit their new website.
Rhea Utley is a proud mom to amazing 4 year old twin boys, Alexis (pws) and Lucas and step mom to their wonderful older brother Antoine. She works in a cancer research lab studying biochemistry and genetics along-side her husband Jacques Côté. They have a passion for research and are determined to help all families get access to Growth Hormone with the work that she does on the GH committee. She enjoyed acting as an advocate reviewer for the FPWR grants committee and was honoured to participate in the first PWS Research Strategy Workshop that brought together top PWS researchers from across many disciplines as well as some from related fields. Though Rhea has previously participated in fundraisers, she has recently stepped out of her comfort zone to join the International Walk/Run Committee and will be organizing her first event in Quebec City to raise money for PWS research.
