Do not tell your child about events before they happen – the anticipation is too great.

This one is WAY up there for us! Our daughter is 24 years old and we still leave things ‘open’, giving no definitive times or dates until … it’s time. I hope research keeps moving in the direction of looking into the anxiety issues our children/adults experience. I personally believe it’s the root of many food issues as well. KEEP LOOKING INTO THE ‘AMYGDALA’!!! I saw a blip about it and wondered why more research hasn’t been directed toward it since it regulates anxiety & the fight or flight symptoms. For us, this one is waaaay up there on the list!

I’ve been screaming AMYGDALA for years as well. Our daughter is 25 years old and the anxiety does not stop.
